i took this picture a few weeks ago of zoe doing a science experiment. i have been up at her school all week preparing for the science fair. today was extra busy as we also have a fundraiser for haiti tonite in about 40mins thrown by the 4th and 5th grade classes (zane is in 5th) so i have been totally swamped. hooray for zoe finishing her science fair project however, and hopefully her and her partner mira get a good grade!

    What kind of chemical reaction was this? I see clear liquid on top (dihydrogen monoxide?) and some whispy white sediment clouding the bottom.

    dna extraction from cow cheek cells. cloudy material is dna, pale material is the stuff used for the extracting.
